The Knowlton Gallery showcases contemporary paintings, sculpture, and photography, with an emphasis on artists who live and work in the Sierra Foothills and the Great Central Valley of California.
This region follows Highway 49 through the small towns of Angels Camp, Murphys and Columbia, and stretches from Bakersfield/Fresno in the south to Chico/Redding in the north, along Highway 99. It is an area that produces some of the best food and wine products in the world. It is also home to many renowned artists. The Knowlton Gallery is privileged to be showing their art and offering the public an opportunity to view and purchase this work outside of the major art hubs of San Francisco, Carmel, or Scottsdale.
The Gallery is located in downtown Lodi, on the second floor of Woolworth's Place. Each month features a new show with openings coinciding with Lodi's First Friday Art Hop; a night when all the galleries in town are open from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. The Knowlton Gallery pairs up with a different winery for each opening allowing patrons to sample the finest wines of the Lodi-Woodbridge Appellation.
Handmade jewelry from Bay Area and New York artists, as well as other art-related gift items, is also featured at the Gallery. Information on the Gallery's artists as well as jewelers is listed on the website.
The Gallery is owned and operated by Robin Knowlton who has lived in Lodi since 1989. She and her husband, Stefan Sekula, have collected art from the Northern California region for many years and are excited to make the Gallery's home in the heart of downtown Lodi.
