Daniel Kasser joined the Pacific faculty in 1985 teaching photography, printmaking and studio art seminars. Currently, he is the Chair of the department and continues to teach darkroom and digital photography. He has received two awards for teaching excellence while at Pacific.
Dan received his MFA in photography from the University of New Mexico and completed undergraduate studies at Humboldt State University and Shasta College in Northern California. His photographic activities range from the Mythopoeic interpretations of regional histories and technology on the landscape to re-photographic survey projects involving the city of Stockton and the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta Region where he currently lives.
He has conducted workshops, undertaken extensive archival consultation and curated numerous exhibitions of art and photography within the Northern California region. His photographs are held by numerous private and public collections. He is a member of the Sacramento Valley Photographic Art Center where examples from several of his portfolios can be viewed.
