Lucinda Kasser currently teaches drawing and painting in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She began teaching at Pacific in 1987, serving as Chair of the department from 1995 to 2001. She has studied at the University of Maryland in Munich, Humboldt State University, Arcata and California State University, Sacramento.

As a painter, her primary subject matter is the California landscape. While she continues to work in the studio from sketches and photographs, working directly in the landscape, en plein air, is a growing passion. Her work is held in public and private collections nationally.

In 2001, Kasser was one of twenty-four artists invited by the Haggin Museum to participate in an exhibition co-sponsored by the California Art Club called, Contemporary Artists Paint Yosemite and the Eastern Sierra. From 2002 to 2004 she was one of forty-eight artists participating in the Sea to Shining Sea: A Reflection of America Project that has culminated in a book and a nationally traveling exhibition.
